Job’s Daughters from the five different countries were all present in Merrillville, Indiana at the 2007 Supreme Session. The Minnesota delegation was comprised of 18 members and 22 adults.
Monday: A free day for most, either touring or arriving in Indiana. A lot of the girls went to the local water park.
Kara and her parents went to the Indianapolis Speedway and to the Indianapolis Scottish Rite Cathedral. Bethel 93 competed in music, individual and in groups while Bethel 39 competed in sign language. Most of the Minnesota delegation met up for dinner at Potbellies for Job’s Daughters night.
Tuesday: The Ritual team was up and ready to compete. They put their smiles on going in, and came out with bigger smiles and the look of relief! Our Minnesota Messenger Team consisted of Piper #76/53 as 1st Messenger, Kaitlin #39 as 2nd Messenger, Carrie #1 as 3rd Messenger, Stephanie #53 as 4th Messenger, and Brittany #53 as 5th Messenger. Many girls competed individually at Ritual as well throughout the day. Miss MNJD Kara also took the Miss International Job’s Daughter test and attended the contestant dinner.
Tuesday night, many of us attended a Masonic Play, presented by the Masons of Indiana. The play consisted of three scenes that used to be part of a degree that they no longer present. Tuesday night was also the HIKE dance, where all of our Minnesota girls attended to raise money for our philanthropic project. They also raffled off many baskets to the attendees as well.
Wednesday: Miss MNJD Kara was interviewed for the Miss International Job’s Daughter pageant and recited her ritual part. Many of the Minnesota girls attended the Royalty Luncheon in which they learned about the Grand Bethels of each jurisdiction. That night was the Formal Banquet. In attendance from Minnesota were GG Pam, AGG John and his wife Toni, GBHQ Pam, Miss MNJD Kara and her parents Herb and Nancy, VGG Sue, and SB 3rd Messenger Olivia.
After the banquet, there was a HIKE presentation for two deserving recipients followed by the Formal Opening of the Session. GBHQ Pam and GBSP Joyce participated in the Royalty March and GBHQ presented the Minnesota flag in the Flag Ceremony. Kaitlin from 39 received a Supreme Scholarship. They also made HIKE presentations to daughters who have raised over $1000 this year. One of our top money raisers is an eight-year-old Jobie-to-Be!
Thursday: Our morning started out early at the 7:30am Supreme Bethel meeting. After the meeting, we all attended the All-Job’s Daughters award Luncheon. The following girls received awards:
- Bethel 93—2nd Small Group Choir
- Dinah—3rd vocal solo
- Olivia—1st vocal solo, 2nd in Story of Job, 1st in pencil drawing, 1st in color drawing, 1st in handy crafts
- Piper—3rd Flute solo, 2nd in 1st Messenger
- Samantha and Kaitlin—3rd in sign language
- GBHQ Pam—1st Dramatic monologue

Thursday night: was the official Minnesota Dinner at Outback Steakhouse, followed by the Miss International Job’s Daughter Pageant. Everyone had a fun time cheering on our Miss Minnesota Kara and enjoyed seeing the Miss Indiana Job’s Daughter Brittney be crowned as the new Miss IJD.
After the pageant, Minnesota had a party in AGG John’s hotel room.
Friday: Our three Minnesota girls who were chosen to serve the Supreme Bethel went to practice, and the rest of us had a day to ourselves. Some went shopping, others went to the water park, and a few even went to the North Shore.
The Supreme Bethel installation was held Friday night. We were proud to see three of our Minnesota girls be installed into the Supreme Bethel. Olivia #93 was installed Supreme Bethel Junior Princess, Kaitlin #39 was installed as a representative to Michigan, and Michelle #93 was installed as a representative to Roraima.
Saturday: Most of the Minnesota delegation left in the morning, but those who stayed for the Supreme Officers installation saw our very own Jim Billig be installed Supreme Senior Custodian.
