EDUCATIONAL FUND PRESENTATIONS AT GRAND SESSION

There was one Job’s Daughters scholarship given out this year and it went to Tiffany #48. She had also previously received the Grand Lodge Scholarship.

Congratulations!

Scholarship Award

Currently there are quite a few loans outstanding from the Educational Loan Fund. Remember that you do not have to start repaying this loan until you have completed school, but it is your obligation to repay this loan so there will be funds for others to use. If you have an outstanding loan, please contact the Grand Secretary to start repayment. Thank You.

GRAND GUARDIAN COUNCIL
SCHOLARSHIPS AND LOANS

Each year the Grand Guardian Council awards some scholarships and provides some loans for members to continue their education. Education was very important to our Founder, Ethel T Wead Mick. Part of every jurisdiction and Bethel is an established fund for the purpose of assisting members to further their education in college, technical school, junior college or other advanced education.

HOW DO THESE FUNDS GET THEIR MONEY?

Within thirty (30) days of the installation of officers, each Bethel is to plan a fund raising project for the benefit of the Educational Fund. The proceeds of this project are to be split three ways and one- third given to the Educational Fund, one-third to the Promotional Fund and the remaining third may be kept in the Bethel. Many Bethels vote to forward their third to another project such as the Grand Guardians project, Grand Bethel Honored Queens project or the HIKE Fund. In Minnesota this project is commonly called the "THREE WAY SPLIT PROJECT".
(See MB-GGC 6.2 Art VIII, Sect 4).

Donations and proceeds from other various projects
may also be given to this Fund.
