JD You Leadership conference was held Saturday October 14th at the Scottish Rite in Minneapolis. There was record-number attendence this year with almost 180 adults and girls in attendence.
There was 22 presenters and almost each session 
was only presented once.
The girls were split up by age and went through classes from anywhere from etiquette to planning a term, floor work and how to memorize and how to set up a Bethel room, as well as world religions and other Masonic Organizations, and Life after being an Honored Queen.
The adults also had their sessions and learned information as well to help the Bethels work better. All received excellent advice and will hopefully return for new classes at the next JD You!
JD YOU - FEBRUARY 4, 2006
JD You conference was held on Feb 4 at the Minneapolis Scottish Rite Temple. All attended these seminars:
- Prospecting
- Scrapbooking
- Religions/Bethel SetUp
Three mini seminars were held for the Daughters.
1. Ceremonies - writing your own and re-writing the existing ones.
2. Line Officer Session - include your members if they are new to the line. We have many girls who have served in offices several times, so they will not benefit as much from this session.
3. How to handle social situations, how to dress for various functions - this one won't hurt any Daughter.
All attendees were involved in a short session with Bethel Music.
Adults worked with the Constitution and Bylaws, Recruiting and Chaperoning and Conflict Resolution. There was also a session with the Grand Guardian and be able to ask questions.
Majority Members were included with the adult sessions.
After the conference was over, everyone headed for St Paul to ride ETHEL T in the night Winter Carnival Parade – complete with lights.
JDYou CONFERENCE
This is the chance you have been looking for! Have an overnight, eat, and learn about Job’s Daughters and how to be a leader. This event is held at the Scottish Rite Temple in Minneapolis in January or February. Usually an overnight starts off the weekend. Various seminars are held covering such things of interest to line officers and Bethel Guardian Council members as: planning a term of events; Constitution and Bylaws; how to set up the Bethel; how to conduct a meeting; parliamentary procedure; what makes a successful fund raiser; having fun at whatever you do; working with the Bethel Guardian Council or the Grand Guardian Council; recognizing each members’ skills; and many more. There is time for some fun and meeting new friends from other parts of the state.
Information will come out in the fall.
