The 81st Annual Grand Session of Minnesota Job’s Daughters was opened on June 15th, 2007 at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria.

The Friday Morning Session included reports on Sixth Messenger newsletter, Education Loan Fund, Promotion and Jurisprudence. There was also a partial Credential report and Parliamentarian Report. The meeting recessed for lunch and continued in the afternoon for the finance report and all of the Executive Officer Reports (with the exception of GG and AGG).

The formal banquet was held Friday night and presentations were made to Bethels for SHIPS to Success, membership, and Spirit Awards. There were also remarks given by other Masonic Organizations.

Formal Opening was opened promptly at 8pm on Friday night. The Distinguished Guests and Grand Officers were escorted into the room by Minnesota Job’s Daughters.

Many flags were presented in the Flag Ceremony that was arranged by DeAnna Hennebry, Grand Marshal. Angela Lane, Grand Chaplain, lead the Bible Ceremony and Lisa Ketola sang the Lord’s Prayer.

The Necrology Ceremony was held following Escort and Introductions. The Golden Triangle Award Ceremony was held and presented to DeAnna Hennebry, Ward Gillett and Sandy Churchill. The Masonic Heritage Award was presented to Jim Billig, Cy Iverson, and George Miller.

Remarks were given and the Manitoba delegation made a special presentation with the help of the Grand Officers, Miss Minnesota Job’s Daughter and the Grand Bethel Honored Queen—a virtual tour of their government building!

The Closing Ceremony took place and a Farewell Reception was held for the retiring Grand Officers.

Saturday morning opened with another business session which included reports from Miss Minnesota Job’s Daughter Kara, GBHQ Pam, Daughter HIKE coordinator Kayla, GB Guardian Jean Shepersky, AGG Ken Carroll, GG Pam Leech, Locations and 2007-08 plans by John Murray, and a Final Credential report by M’Lyse Haugen.

Elections were also held during the Morning Session. Grand Guardian Pam Leech will not install a new Grand Guardian for the year and will continue her duties as the Grand Guardian.

The Afternoon Session was held for recommendations followed by an installation practice.

The Proclamation was made and Ken presented the Clarence Krahmer jewel to John. Clare Haugen presented Pam Leech with her PGG pin and Joanie Peterson presented Ken his PAGG pin.

Remarks were made and Pam Leech and Ken Carroll signed the bible, followed by the closing ceremony and a reception for the new Grand Officers.

The 82nd Annual Session of the Grand Guardian Council of Minnesota will take place at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria on June 13th and 14th of 2008.
