COMMITTEES

Many committees are needed to do the work of the Grand Guardian Council. The Grand Guardian, from eligible members of the Grand Guardian Council, appoints these committee members each year. (See B-GGC 4 and MB-GGC 4.1 – 4.7).

Standing Committees have members who are appointed for a multiple year term, thus having at least one experienced person on the committee each year. Standing Committees are:

• Appeals and Grievances
• Credentials
• Daughter’s Camp
• Degree of Royal Purple
• Educational Fund
• Finance
• Jurisprudence
• Miss Minnesota Job’s Daughter

Other Committees are appointed for a one-year term and can have any number of members serving. Although the Grand Guardian can also appoint additional committees, the following is a partial list of other committees:

• JD2B
• Minnesota Reception
• Proceedings
• Promotional
• Publicity
• Service Project
• Sixth Messenger
• Ways and Means
• Locations

The Grand Guardian shall appoint the chairman of each committee. If you are interested in the duties of these committees, please check the pages of the Constitution and Bylaws listed above, or ask the Grand Guardian, Grand Secretary, or your Deputy Grand Guardian.

After the members of the Bethel Guardian Council have been installed, the Bethel Guardian may appoint other adults as chairmen or members of committees. These committees may be formed to aid and assist the work of the Bethel Guardian Council and the Bethel members. (See B-BGC 5). Those eligible to be appointed on a committee must have the same qualifications as those appointed to positions on the Bethel Guardian Council. Those interested in serving the Bethel in this capacity should contact the Bethel Guardian.

Each term the Honored Queen, with the approval of the Executive Bethel Guardian Council, shall appoint an auditing committee, pledge committee and a proficiency committee. Additional committees may be appointed as are necessary.
