NEW BETHEL GUARDIAN COUNCIL INSTALLATION

The new Bethel Guardian Council shall be installed at the first possible Bethel meeting following Grand Session, but must be installed no later than the second meeting in September. The incoming Bethel Guardian selects the person(s) who will install the BGC. Those eligible to install a BGC are Past Bethel Guardians, Past Associate Bethel Guardians, Bethel Guardians or Associate Bethel Guardians.

There are only nine Bethel Guardian Council members and they will receive a certificate of appointment from the Grand Guardian.

The remaining adults are not installed but are introduced at the end of the BGC installation. The newly installed Bethel Guardian has appointed these adults and they are Chairmen of the committees on which they serve. BGC members may also be installed during the Bethel Installation at the appropriate time. Check the Book of Ceremonies for the correct instructions for the installation of the BGC at a Bethel meeting or during the Bethel Installation.

PLANNING A NEW TERM
“THREE-WAY SPLIT PROJECT”

Within thirty (30) days of the installation of officers, each Bethel is to plan a fund raising project for the benefit of the Educational Fund and the Promotional Fund. The proceeds of this project are to be split three ways and one- third given to the Educational Fund, one-third to the Promotional Fund and the remaining third may be kept in the Bethel. Many Bethels vote to forward their third to another project such as the Grand Guardians project, Grand Bethel Honored Queens project or the HIKE Fund. In Minnesota this project is commonly called the “THREE WAY SPLIT PROJECT”. (See MB-GGC 6.2 Art VIII, Sect 4).

Donations and proceeds from other various projects may also be given to these Funds.

See the Scholarships and Promotional pages.
